Should You Have a GMO Free Diet or Just Don’t Eat Food With Genetically Modified Ingredients

In this section the author discusses how GMOs do not make our food more nutritious and can lead to serious health complications. They then mention how the use of non-GMOs is promoted because they are seen as safer and contain no toxic pesticides or herbicides. They also say that GMO companies are rushing to have their products tested so that it would be seen as safe by the public, but they state that there is no evidence for this claim. The article questions the need for GMO labeling if it doesn’t matter whether they are present with our food or not.
“GMOs are created by transferring genes from one organism to another. ” This is done in a laboratory, because otherwise it wouldn’t be possible to use the genetic engineering process to produce them (they don’t occur naturally in nature). Most processed foods contain GMOs.(see sources)
