Introduction: What was My “Weakness” in Life, and How I Have Overcome It?

Throughout my life, I have struggled with the feeling of inadequacy. This feeling of weakness stemmed from a lack of self worth and confidence. It has only been as I grow older that I’ve learned to find my own strengths and remove weaknesses. I’ve learned that it is not only what others do, but also what I do that truly defines me.
It was not until recently that I realized my biggest weakness has actually been my conviction to courage. Being courageous allows one to accomplish great things, such as speaking to people who may have resentful thoughts. Fortunately, this world has finally come to a point where there are enough people who are willing to listen without bias.
The following is an honest account of my journey of overcoming the obstacles that life has presented to me. While others may look at my story and feel better about themselves, I hope to share how I am growing as a person. I believe that learning from our mistakes, weaknesses, and fears will just make us stronger overall.

I’m going to start by giving you a brief overview of strength training and discuss what it means for someone who wants to train for strength. Next, I’ll address some common misconceptions about weight lifting and give you some specific pointers to increasing your strength levels. Finally, I’ll address three different information sources that can help you learn more about weight lifting. The first source is a book called “Powerlifting by the Numbers. The book is an excellent source of information about power lifting. If you are reading this article, I’m going to assume you have access to a copy of the book, so go ahead and read it.
