Introduction to the Fear Street Series

The protagonist of the series is named Slappy and is 16 years old. He sometimes thinks he’s crazy, but there are a few certain things he knows for sure: his father is a police detective, he’s in trouble with the law, and there are some crazy things going on in his neighborhood.

The Story of a Girl Called Ally

When she is forced to move into a crumbling old house full of weird neighbors, Ally begins to feel that her parents are only the beginning of the horrors that await. She also knows there’s something strange about the house and its creepy cellar, but what it really is, she can’t imagine.
A strange boy appearing at her window isn’t the only thing that’s worrying her. A scary woman in black is also appearing in her dreams.

Ally’s Journey through the Dark and How it Ends

The gothic-like atmosphere is WONDERFUL, if you’re at all a big fan of supernatural stories. Very reminiscent of a haunted house story as you might expect, but with a different twist. The story has its own little twists, however, which keep it interesting. I’ll always love “Fear Street” for making my childhood the happiest it could be.

The Dark’s Master Plan

The master of the house does have one obstacle, though: Ally herself. Being a strong-willed girl and all, she won’t go down without a fight. All she has to do is get through the house, learn about her parents’ murder, defeat the master of the house, defeat all those that oppose her, and she’ll be safe. Unfortunately for her, however, she is not alone. She’s surrounded by horrors, by creatures of the dark, and her only hope is to get to the end and find someone–or something–to help her before it’s too late. And with the master of the house involved in all this, who knows what’ll happen?
