Introduction: What is the DMV, Why is it So Infamous and How are People Affected?
The DMV, or Department of Motor Vehicles, exists to ensure that drivers are qualified for their licenses and people are following the rules. The reason it is so notorious among citizens is because of its long wait times, strict policies and often disrespectful employees. Nowadays with all the new advancements in technology there should be some way to connect a person to a representative or even cut the time by a large portion of it. The DMV is notorious because of its infrequent service, long wait times and because of disrespectful employees.
The reason the DMV is so infrequent is because of its lack of employees, not having enough clerks to handle all the tasks that are needed to be done. There should be a solution for this problem because in the time of rush hour the lines are often extremely long and not many people have time to wait in those lines. There has to be a way to allow people to keep the lines moving in order for the DMV to stay efficient.
For the DMV’s policies there are some things that need to change. The biggest problem is that if you do not have a license then you cannot get one. This creates a huge inconvenience because many people do not have licenses because they are not in high school or they are under 21 years old. There is an easier way than having to go through this process every time you want a license. The DMV could have a policy where a person could go online and pay for the license of their choice. This would allow people to get their licenses without having to go to the DMV at all and that is what everyone would want.
