Real Druid Handbook – A Complete Guide to Spiritual Practice
Druidry is a spiritual practice that links us to Earth and her creatures, nature, and the land. It’s the last of an ancient tradition of spiritual practice now known as the ‘Earth Wisdom’ traditions- which have included shamanism, yoga, Chinese medicine and so many other forms of healing and spirituality. Druidry has been described as the ‘Wisdom of the Trees’, a way of life honing in on the awareness of Nature, and a complete system of spirituality that encompasses its own rituals, practices, and philosophy.
In the Druid Handbook, Ross Nichols- author and Druid- designed a relatively short system of Druidry that could be followed by anyone regardless of any prior spiritual experience or training. He teaches us how to live in harmony with nature, in order to develop our natural wisdom and knowledge of the healing and spiritual potential of the world around us. He covers subjects like:
– Understanding the importance of your physical body, as an extension of your consciousness. A bit more about evolution’s constant process of adaptation throughout time.
The Druid’s Way to Inspiring and Leading a Meaningful Life
This is not a course to teach you how to find your soul mate and make money in the stock market, it’s a guidebook for spiritual evolution. A guidebook that shows you how to learn to be part of nature, but more importantly how to be part of nature by creating sacred space in the natural world that links us directly with our internal spirit. A guidebook that shows you how to create sacred space in nature, and how to live a meaningful life.
Before we begin I have to tell you that modern Druidry is not a cult, or a new agey fad. Modern Druidry teaches us how to balance our spiritual evolution with the needs of all living things, and in doing so, enlightens our own lives.
Named after Arthurian legend Merlin who was also known as Merlin The Prophet In Celtic Mythology
Druidry is named after Arthurian legend Merlin, who was also known in the Celtic tradition as Merlina the prophet. In Arthurian legend Merlin was a prophet and king, an enchanter and magician, who served as a mentor to knights and noblemen. In Celtic mythology he was also associated with magic and prophecy. While he is usually depicted as an old man, with any number of animals for companions such as a raven or cat, he has been known to have several different forms. In one he is a beautiful young man; in another he can transform himself into a wrinkled old man; in yet another, he is the Swan. The connection to Merlin and the Druidic tradition is that it has roots in Celtic tradition and mythology.
