Why You Should Read this Book?

It was this love of stories and reading that inspired me to write The Day I Discovered My Signature. When I entered middle school and began my journey in writing, I wrote many stories about things that had happened during my life. In eighth grade, my teacher challenged us to write a story about our signature. After writing the first draft of this story, other challenges were issued such as Write About Yourself in Thirty-Six Sentences. I continued to write, often using my own experiences, but also incorporating elements of stories that I had read aloud and liked. This is one of the stories I wrote in that class.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Jonah S. Moore

This story was written in 2004 for my eighth grade Language Arts class at Bellevue Christian School. I had written a story in my sixth grade Language Arts class that was about the effects of a totalitarian government, so I decided to continue my story and see where it would lead.

“I am Jonah Moore. I am eight years old and live in Bellevue, Washington.”

How I Turned My 23 Years of Passion into a Successful Medical Research Career

Writing the story of what had occurred during my 23 years of life, I found that writing became therapeutic. Writing was not always an easy task and I would get frustrated at times. However, in the midst of these frustrations, I found a way to let my passion for writing flow freely. In high school and college, creative writing classes helped me to explore different themes and genres. My introduction to creative writing came while I was enrolled as a pre-med student at Florida State University’s College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida . As a child, I would write to express myself. One of my earliest memories was writing at age 5. During middle and high school, the teachers encouraged the students to publish their writings in school magazines. To prepare for a future career in medicine, I published articles about science and medicine in local newspapers. Since then, writing has been an important part of my life as a writer and even more important as a healthcare professional. I have the privilege of putting my passion into words through my published work. In the education field, I have proven that writing is helpful for teachers and writers who want to express themselves in a meaningful way. One thing I’m passionate about is being a strong support for those in need. Writing also helps me to be honest with myself and understand how I feel about things.

How I Got Involved With Kickstarter And How It Changed My Life Forever

In 2013, I wrote an article on Kickstarter.com, entitled “Computers Help Physician Assistants Comply with Prescription Law.” In a few months, I raised more than $2,000 through crowd-funding. By working with Kickstarter and raising money through crowd-funding, I was able to publish my book entitled The Day I Discovered My Signature. After publishing this book, I was invited to become a technology expert on the television show called “Convenience Matters.” This opportunity helped me become involved in projects for which I was paid to write about technology. The enthusiasm and support I received from my writing on Kickstarter.com inspired me to pursue a career as a writer. It is my dream to continue my career in writing. I want to inspire others through my writing.
