Overall, the Office 365 installation process will go fairly quickly, but some of the deeper features (such as Skype for Business Online, SharePoint Online, and Yammer) might take a bit longer to install. Otherwise, installation takes only a few minutes. Keep in mind that the time it takes to install these software products will depend on your Internet connection speed and the number of cloud services you have signed up for.
During installation, you’ll be prompted to download updates and add-ons, so plan to have ample time to complete all of the steps in the process. And keep in mind that once you’ve installed Office 365, some parts of it might require Internet connectivity after installation and might not be fully functional until they are fully installed. If you can’t reach your Internet connection during installation, simply click the available option to “Install later” when prompted.
