This game helps children connect with literature, Tarshis claims. “I like reading and writing books, but sometimes I can’t get into it because I’m nervous about what’s going to happen,” she said. For example, “if a book is scary or complicated and there’s no ending, you often don’t finish it. Here, you can choose a short story that you know the outcome of, so kids will be more likely to read it.”

The Hidden Power of Storytelling in Product Management & Marketing Lifecycle. Part 1 – Introduction & Prologue

There are many methods to help your customers understand why you are the best choice for their product or service. One of the most effective ways is storytelling, which provides depth and emotion to your information – and does so in a way that is memorable, personal and compelling. Why storytelling? The reason is simple – it’s because stories are an effective way to communicate with customers about products and services. Workplace stories help employees become the best – ScienceDaily.com

Humor may help people deal with stress and interact better with their co-workers, but how can that be healthy? A new study published in the Journal of Applied Psychology found that employees who were accustomed to hearing humorous anecdotes in the workplace had higher morale, commitment and job satisfaction than workers who didn’t hear them.
According to the study, participants who were exposed to amusing anecdotes at work performed better than those who didn’t hear them. The startling results indicate that workers with a hard time keeping up with the pace of their jobs may benefit from hearing humorous stories.
“The way in which these types of stories are delivered plays an important role in influencing people’s emotional well-being,” said lead author McKenzie Funk, of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. “Humorous stories may help ease stress and improve emotional well-being among employees. When people are feeling down, they may look to others for support. In turn, this study suggests that these efforts can be effective in helping employees deal with workplace stress.”
