Introduction: George Carlin and his amazing career

In the 1970’s George Carlin made a name for himself with comedy routines that mixed satire, political commentary, and social commentary. Since then his career has continued to flourish up to present day where he has written 14 books as well as four films including “Dogma” and “The Aristocrats” which is the best selling stand-up comedy album of all time. Carlin is also a critically acclaimed Actor and has been nominated for an Emmy award. In 2002 George Carlin was presented with a T.V. Land lifetime achievement award and was inducted into the American stand-up comedy Hall of fame. George Carlin is one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time and will be remembered for many years to come.

george carlin kind of liked this article because it had a lot of good content and insights

I would also like to recommend that this article would be a useful tool for teachers who are hoping to teach about comedy and George Carlin.
It was George Carlin who came up with the quote “I like it when a lot of people die, because then more people are out of work,” when in fact he said that the first time in a comedy set.
In this article, I will analyze Carlin’s life and work as well as consider some exceptions to his theories on comedy and death. The article will provide insight into how his theory that humor is intrinsically linked with pain and suffering has pertained to his own personal views about death.
George Carlin, like many comedians and artists, was inspired by tragedy and the struggles of poverty to become an effective satirist in his time.

If you haven’t read this article yet, it’s very relevant to the discussion we are having in this lesson so I would like to draw your attention to the first few sentences of this article. “I think it’s fair to say that most comedians, if they’re being completely truthful, are really expressing their own philosophical point of view. I mean, you have to be sincere to be a comedian. There’s no way you can do the kind of things we do without believing in the things we believe in.”

This article is about the philosophy of life and how it applies to the art of comedy. I’ve never been a big fan of political correctness and I’m a big fan of George Carlin so I’ve chosen him to talk about. He was one of the great comedians who wrote about his philosophy in an eponymous essay entitled “i kinda like it when a lot of people die”. Not only that, he explained how he had come to develop this philosophy from his early years learning to make people laugh. He said about the beginning of his career, “Well, I started out doing comedy in the bars, in the clubs and all that. Those were wild and raunchy times. And it was a great period to grow up in because it was before television when radio was king.”

George Carlin’s Top 5 Rules for Success in Life & Business

In this article, George Carlin lists his top 5 rules that were tested and proven to be successful in life. I also want to draw your attention to the first few lines of this article where George Carlin states “To me, success is a way of life. It’s a way of living with all your heart and soul. It’s not just something that happens to you. It comes from a lot of hard work and sacrifice.” I believe these lines contain some of the most important lessons that Carlin has learned during his lifetime. Throughout this article, Carlin will list the top 5 rules that were essential to his success in life and business.
The 5 rules are: you must learn how to fail, there are no final destinations, you must be willing to give up everything and try something different, your whole life can change in a moment, and never do anything out of fear.

5. Be willing to give up everything and try something different, even if you are afraid.
A good friend of mine once told me that “everything is time and a number of steps” so it is important to pick the right path with every step and never to be afraid to move forward. Because if you are working on something and it doesn’t work out, it is just a matter of time before you try something else.

george carlin knows that he has to stop making prank phone calls but

During the 1960’s George Carlin was a radio host on many different stations that broadcasted across the nation. He had to stop making prank phone calls on radio shows because he was fined so much money. But later on in his life, he was able to earn money from radio shows and stand-up comedy. It’s important that you realise that George Carlin wasn’t making a career out of just making prank phone calls. He was working hard and earning money from different jobs. He was trying to make money from his art which was stand-up comedy. Some people think that it’s better to do charity work, but it isn’t true because you can’t make money from doing charity work. Charity works are free and people don’t get paid for doing the charity work.
On page 2, the last paragraph is a piece of knowledge. It is an example of a URL which is written down in the correct form for someone looking for it to be clicked on (see point 5).
On point 4 and 5, the information has been presented in a way which counters the argument that this piece of knowledge is irrelevant, because:
It could be relevant to the argument
It comes from an authority who would be recognised by the reader as such
It is clearly important, so the reader would have realised that whether it was relevant to the argument or not. In this case, it is definitely relevant to this article. The person who wrote it would know that a lot of people think that charity work isn’t worth doing.
The writer could counter with:
“george carlin knows that he has to stop making prank phone calls but”
“I have to disagree with this statement for the following reasons…”
