Our society has been indoctrinated to believe that we can learn anything from a lecture or a book. Now, people are starting to realize that this is not true, and many people are gaining skills by teaching. We are now beginning to realize the power of teaching.
Still, as we have seen in the past few years, many people are losing interest in education. They begin to wonder why they should support this costly industry. There are many reasons why we keep supporting it:
Many people know nothing about education, and make poor decisions about which careers to pursue. [Funding]
Many people are not aware of the problems with our current model of education. [Insider knowledge]
Many people feel too intimidated by university professors to ask questions or provide feedback. [Respect]
Many people believe that college is the best and most efficient way to gain skills. [Fear of failure]
Many people are afraid that they will go bankrupt because they spend so much money on education. [Fear of homelessness]
When we criticize the education system, we must do it in a way that is constructive, rather than destructive. The following article aims to be constructive, listing some ideas for a better quality education.
A new approach to education
There is a better way than what we have now. We can apply the following principles of education: a) Observe. b) Practice. c) Reflect and Draw.

How AI is Disrupting the Education Industry’s Model of Training
As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more advanced, it is responsible for teaching, grading, and organizing students. Now, students can learn through AI without a teacher. In the future, children may not have any teachers at all because they are learning everything they need to know from computers. This goes against the traditional model of education, where a teacher teaches. Although AI is not yet as powerful as teachers, it is a major threat to the teaching profession because of its ability to learn. If AI continues to improve at the same rate, its capabilities will be more than 95% similar to human intelligence. If a student is not progressing as fast as he was before, it will be apparent within a year to the teacher. AI is already able to recognize what it is teaching, which is almost the same as human learning.
Final Thoughts & Future Outlook on AI in Education
Artificial intelligence is becoming a major threat to the teaching profession because of its ability to learn and teach. However, it also has the potential to improve education by providing more resources, such as computers and other technology, improving the quality of teaching, and making it more affordable. This paper provides reasons to believe that AI in education will not lead to a dystopian future and highlights how teachers, programmers, and philosophers are working together to make it happen.
One of the first ventures into using AI in education was IBM’s Watson computer. Watson was used in medical fields for diagnosing patients and predicting diseases. In 2012, IBM completed an agreement with The New York Genome Center (NYGC) where NYGC agreed to pay IBM $2 billion over seven years for the use of its AI system. Watson computer was used to help diagnose patients where doctors could use the system to look at a patient’s chart, interview a doctor and other medical personnel, review laboratory results, and draw conclusions about what was wrong with the patient. “In February 2016 it became one of the first groups to start using AI in education. Watson made its first appearance at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”
