Introduction: Join us in trying to put her back together again, and learn how she managed to stay strong all this time.
Lisa, a single mother of three; Skye, the eldest and most rebellious; Hazel, the chestnut-haired “princess”; and Thaddeus—the youngest brother with a fiery temper. The Scantling family was united in love but divided by their faith. Eventually the walls came crumbling down. Lisa felt like they were in free fall as one horrible event after another happened in her family and she became the scapegoat.
After one of the most tragic events that could have happened to any mother, Lisa decided, she should go away and let time heal. She decided to leave the kids to their father and travel where a fresh start would be needed if her heart was to heal as well. Right now all she wanted was peace.
Lisa left with a little more than $2,000 of savings and much of her self-esteem. She went to her parents’ home. They were the only ones that knew why she was leaving and why. Her mother decided to stay in the little town of Fairbury and her father drove to New York City because his heart told him to go there.
What is MCC Mother Tries To Put Her Daughter Back Together Again? And Why Can’t She?
The Scantlings weren’t the best family in the world, they had some of the worst sins made known to them. They weren’t perfect, but were able to save their family through many trials that were thrown at them. But nothing can compare to how much they hurt each other, and how much they hurt others through it. Things were just falling apart, and the only way they could stop it was not to fall over each other. The government had stepped in to do their jobs, and supply the family with a house that would suit them. The mother, Jennie Scantling, was adamant about putting her family back together. And she did it through the best way she knew how. Jennie Scantling tried to “put her daughter back together”, and it’s no surprise that it didn’t work.
MCC Mother Tries To Put Her Daughter Back Together Again And Can’t! What Did She Do Wrong?
On the morning of May 19, 2010, Lisa was on her way to work when she pulled up to a stop sign and noticed that Skye was not in her car seat. Lisa and Skye were supposed to work the same shift at the hospital. Lisa called Skye’s mother and asked if she took Skye in for treatment or anything that might have happened. Fearing for their daughter’s safety, Hazel Scantling immediately called her sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Lisa’s parents. They decided to take a look around their neighborhood and started knocking on doors. They asked anyone if they had seen Skye but were getting nowhere. Later that day, Hazel’s boss called the hospital, wondering why his favorite nurse was not at work that day. She said she was sick and would be in the next morning which would have been May 20. On May 21, 2010, Hazel was driving Skye to school when she saw Lisa’s name on the passenger side door of a car on the side of the road. She stopped to see if Lisa needed help, but she saw that her door was locked from outside and no one was inside. Skye took care of her door only to return home and find her mother unconscious in front of their house. Police broke into the home later that day and found Skye crying in a pool of blood inside. She had been severely beaten and suffered from severe brain damage. She was not able to speak and could barely walk. She still cannot speak and at the time of this article she is still unable to walk or feed herself. While Lisa was being charged with attempted murder, Hazel was working on fixing her daughter’s life.
